  • The next 14 days are integral to how your skin retains the pigment from your cosmetic tattoo treatment.
  • Your eyebrows may feel tender, have minor swelling and/or redness immediately following the procedure-this is normal. It typically resolved within 24-48 hours. You may take an OTC pain reliever if needed.
  • For 24 hours after your procedure, keep your eyebrows completely DRY. Do not allow any water to touch them.
  • Day 2-14, you may begin cleaning your eyebrows with a cotton pad and water. Squeeze out the excess water and GENTLY blot and wipe the area to remove any buildup, DO NOT RUB. Dry with a clean paper towel or let air dry.
  • As your skin heals, scabbing and/or flaking of the eyebrows will appear. This is normal. They may feel itchy, tight and dry. You may apply a SMALL amount of unscented lotion, coconut oil or grapeseed oil with a q-tip to the area. Make sure it is a THIN layer of product as too much can affect pigment retention.

  • DO NOT pick at the area. This will cause the pigment to fall out. Let it come off on its own. -Do not expose the healing skin to soaps, cleansers or shampoos for 14 days.
  • When showering, DO NOT put your face directly in the water stream for 14 days.
  • DO NOT expose the healing skin to the sun for extended periods of time. This will completely change how the skin heals.

  • DO NOT apply anti-aging or exfoliating ingredients to the general area for 14 days.
  • It takes 6-8 weeks for your eyebrows to fully heal. Your eyebrows will fade during the healing process and you may feel as if too much pigment has been lost but your skin is still healing and regenerating during this period and it will take the full time to see the true color of the pigment. Remember, adjustments will be made at your follow-up appointment.
  • When getting cosmetic laser procedures, chemical peels, microdermabrasion or other professional treatments, ALWAYS let your technician know that you have permanent makeup and have them avoid the area as this will drastically fade your pigment.
